Title: Research on the Roles of Niobium in Phosphate Cathode Materials
Abstract:
For phosphate cathode materials, modification is
generally carried out through ion doping and surface coating..In modified ions,
niobium can form ion pairs with various electric dipole moments due to its
multiple valence states, and affect the shape of the lattice through changes in
ionic scale, thereby affecting the migration rate of ions by altering the
transition channels of lithium and sodium. This report provides an overview of
the doping effect of niobium in phosphate cathode materials, such as lithium
iron phosphate, lithium manganese iron phosphate, lithium vanadium phosphate,
and sodium iron phosphate. Niobium mainly acts as a dopant by changing the
Fermi level of the crystal and expanding ionic transition channels. Co-doping
niobium with other metals in a "small amount and multiple elements"
is an important direction for future doping applications.
